This Weird Puppy vase was hand carved from clay and fired at over 2100 degrees. I hand painted the puppy's expression and then decorated it with underglaze spots of different colors.
It has a small hole at the top of its head, big enough to put in a few slender stems of flowers - geraniums, pansies, violas, lavender, and so on.
This puppy reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book from when I was a kid, "Put Me in the Zoo".
